General Comments/Suggestions regarding PulseRain M10 board
Was pleased to see this project on Crowd Supply. I'm hoping more people would enter this scene of low-cost FPGA development boards. Would've preferred a Xilinx chip though, as well as HDMI support
Thank you so much for your comments. Do you have a particular reason to prefer xilinx over altera? And what Xilinx device do you have in mind in this regard?
We thought about Spartan 6LX once. The problem with it is that it is not supported by Vivado. Only ISE supports the Spartan 6LX, and it seems Xilinx is deserting ISE and focusing on the Vivado going forward.
And if we can come up with an Altera board that has 25K LE, under $100, will you be interested? And what other features that you care?
True, what a pity. I guess for low-cost, Altera might still have an edge.
Sounds promising, I'm only a recently graduated student though so would only be buying a single board.. Looking for cheap development/trainer boards with a lots of features. Would be looking at things like:

Xilinx have overtaken Altera in the last decade. See

Though they both would be equally capable I presume.
To keep things low-cost, I'd suggest Spartan 6LX

HDMI
DSP
Ethernet (100Mbit/s is fine)
and USB
Thanks for your input. Probably you are not gonna have everything that you wished for, but we will try our best in the next product :-)
